On April 1, 2026, 213 attendees joined the MHPSS Academy launch webinar, organised in collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. The webinar introduced the MHPSS Academy and its focus on evidence-based, scalable interventions. Through two case studies – a Group PM+ pilot in Duhok, Iraq, and EASE implementation in the Rohingya refugee context – we explored what effective capacity strengthening looks like in practice, from facilitator selection and experiential training to supervision and ongoing accompaniment. The session concluded with key lessons and next steps. A special thank you to our speakers – Hivine Ali, Sofia Casas, Tekoshar Aram, and Marit Sijbrandij – for sharing their expertise and insights.
